iMac1943 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 a figure shows better what I mean. The line must go from 1 to 2 - 3 to 4. Compairing with Illustrator it's easy to delete half a circle. How to do in Designer. Also, in Illustrator, I can have an indication that the right side of my big circle is right above the left side of the small circle (help stroke/line?). Is this possible in Designer? Your reply please. Quote

A_B_C Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Hi iMac1943, why not use a Boolean Subtract on two rectangles and then Matt’s fabulous Corner Tool? Please have a look at my video … it’s pretty self-explaining … at least I hope so … :) Cheers, Alex Corner_Tool_Shape.mov MattP 1 Quote
iMac1943 Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Perfect, indeed 'self-explaing'. Thank you ABC. But why do I have these outer lines? Regards Quote
A_B_C Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Ah, these purple lines indicate, that your object is a snapping candidate … you can disable them by unticking Show snapping candidates on the snapping panel … :) There is a very good explanation by Ben from another thread … I take the liberty to copy it here: As explained in other posts and shown in our tutorial videos, we opted to use a candidate system for snapping to other objects on the canvas. This limits the number of potential snapping targets, and keeps things more manageable for the user. If you turn on "Show snapping candidates" you will see some objects outlined in purple. These are your active candidates. In order to snap to objects bounds, key points and geometry, an object first has to be a candidate. You make a candidate by hovering over an object until it becomes outlined in purple. New objects also become candidates as you create them. You can have up to six candidates - after that the oldest candidates are popped off the list. iMac1943 Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Good, well, bit by bit we'll getting there. Of course, I have to 'un-learn' one program to learn an other. Thank you for replying! A_B_C 1 Quote
