Becassine Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 I take a simple JPG that is 1080 px high and need to resize it to 1050 px. It looks OK in Affinity but if open with my standard viewer, Faststone, it looks solarised. It looks OK in Windows Photo app and in PaintShop Pro. If resized in PaintShop Pro, there is no problem viewing the image with any software package I have tried. OK, you may say it is a Faststone problem but I have seen thousands of images submitted by hundreds of individuals to competitions and I have never seen anything like this before. Why do I use Faststone rather than some other JPG viewer? Simply because I can display JPG images easily with no file information visible on screen (essential for competition judging). Quote
Staff Chris B Posted July 22, 2019 Staff Posted July 22, 2019 Hey Becassine, I've just installed FastStone Image Viewer but I cannot reproduce this. Perhaps because I'm not entirely sure how you got the image back out of Affinity. Did you simply File > Save after the resize or did you export it? Did you resample when you resized? Or did you crop? I need to know exactly what you did. What camera did the image come from? It might be worth uploading the original image (or another image that you do not mind sharing) to this private Dropbox account that only Affinity dev/QA can see. Here's a link. nezumi Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I am using FastStone for years, Affinity is my main software now for work and daily I am going through hundreds of jpgs generated with it. I have never run into this. Quote
