Good Morning from New Zealand.  I came across your products whilst searching for Adobe Free Apps that do the same thing at a non crippling price.

I have a number of questions and I hope you will humour me with one time answers.

(1)  Do you have, or are you contemplating, a product that will replace InDesign?

(2) How many computers can use the license once an app is purchased?

(3) What is your policy for charging for upgrades?

(4) How do you rate your products as viable substitutes for Adobe products?

I look forward with interest to your answers and hope to become a convert to your product(s)

Hi foulgernz,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

1) Yes, it's called Affinity Publisher and will come in 2016

2) That's ruled by the Apple Mac Store terms/conditions. We only sell trough the Mac Apple Store.

3) I don't have enough information to give you a definitive reply regarding long term updates.

We planned to offer around two years of free upgrades since we launched Affinity Designer in the Mac App Store (almost a year ago) for the first version. Those upgrades were detailed on our roadmap and we are still implementing them. I will try to gather more information for you.

4) That depends on a variety of factors. Our goal is to develop a high quality line of design programs for professionals using the latest technologies available on the Mac platform. However we are just starting, meaning that we don't yet offer a comparable toolset to other software that's on the market for several years. This may or may not be a problem depending on the type of work you're doing. Some users are already using it professionally in different areas, so this depends a little on your requirements too.

Hope this helps clarify things. You can also check our FAQ for more information you may be interested in.
