Why when I go into resize document does it always show 72 Dpi, when it dose not in Photoshop. In Photoshop the image size was 3020 x 2953 pixels, 600 Dpi, and 5" x 4.9". In Affinity Photo Beta the same image is 3020 x 2953 pixels. 72 Dpi and 41.94" x 41.01"

Hi Artycrafty,

May be an issue relating to reading the DPI from the EXIF info, could you upload or link to a copy of the image so I can have a look.

Thanks

Hi,

It is not only that image, all the images that I scanned onto my computer with a Dpi of 600 open up in document resize as large image sizes but only 72 Dpi. When I opened the same images in Photoshop they all opened with 600 Dpi. I notice that some other people have been having the same trouble. I have tried taking the Dpi up to 400 and lowering the size of the image to what it should be, and this gives a fairly decent image and have exported by going to export in the file menu.

Hi ARTYCRAFTY,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Can you provide us with a sample image so we check out what's going wrong?

If you don't want to post it here (publicly), you can send it (or a link) to support@seriflabs.com along with a link to this tread.

All files will be deleted after being checked.

Hi,

I have attached one of the photo's. They are old photo's that I have scanned onto my computer at 600Dpi to try and clean up a bit before putting into a digital album. In photoshop the information in resize is 3589 x2391 px, 5.9" x 3.9", DPI600. In Affinity the information is 3589 x 2391 px, 49.85" x 33.21", and 72 DPI.

Thank

Artycrafty
