I have an i7 and 16 gig of RAM. Bizarrely I am having speed problems with saving PDF files and many other situations, is this normal? (I'm talking minutes to save) I am finding it to be far slower than PS. What is going on? The ad boasts about speed and work flow???

Was just trying to gauge whether the PDF was large, image heavy etc so render time to PDF would be longer, a 1 MB PDF would take less time than a 200MB PDF to render. What settings do you have in the Preferences: Performance tab

First defense, The file could be up to 100 meg for printing. This is no problem in PS. I find in general AP to be very slow in many situations compared to PS. Is this your experience also? I am certain there must be something wrong with the program or my computer?

There is a discussion of very slow PDF export in AFPub at

https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/90388-publisher-pdf-file-size-and-export-time-questions/

No suggestions have been forthcoming as to why on my relatively fast machine it takes 8 minutes to export a PDF file while at Serif it takes 20 seconds.
