scottscamera Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 I'm using a macbook pro (about 3 1/2 years old). Been using Affinity for over a year. Noticed an update about a week ago and installed it ,maybe It was available for longer but just noticed it. Now for the first time I'm running into an issue. I can't export a jpeg or png. Affinity just freezes up and won't even quit. Have to shut down the computer to turn it off. After trying several things, here's what happened. I selected an image located in my documents and opened it with Affinity. Then made an edit and selected 'save'. It worked. Then, was able to export it as another jpg also giving it a new name. It went. Now, everything I try is working again. Can't explain why that worked but for the time being, everything is fine again. Quote
Staff Chris B Posted July 10, 2019 Staff Posted July 10, 2019 Hey scottscamera, welcome to the Affinity Forums. There have been some issues with the 1.7 update and we are currently recommending that you use the beta instead of the App Store or Affinity Store version. I'm not really sure what caused the initial export issue but it may be worth working in the beta going forward until the official version is updated. scottscamera Posted July 10, 2019 Author Posted July 10, 2019 Thank you Chris B and Thank you to Affinity. I love this product. It has opened up an avenue for my imagination to be expressed and is very user friendly. Quote
