MikeFromMesa Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 When I open a raw image the APB UI shows me icons for the Photo, Liquify, Develop and Export Personas. If I click on the Photo, Liquify or Export Persona icons I get a message telling me: Please either commit or cancel the develop operation before switching to another Persona. Similarly if I click on the Develop Persona icon nothing happens since I am already in the Develop Persona. Given that these icons do nothing while in the Develop Persona I need to ask why they are displayed. Why are they not marked as invisible since they serve no purpose while in the Develop Persona? I thought about entering this under Bugs, but perhaps there is a reason why they are displayed.
Staff Leigh Posted May 27, 2015 Staff Posted May 27, 2015 You can customise toolbars between personas, so you can remove the Personas Toolbar from Develop if you wish. Personally, I wouldn't want them hidden by default.

However the point of the post was supposed to be that they don't do anything, so why are they there?
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted May 27, 2015 Staff Posted May 27, 2015 Hi, It's more for consistency Mike - you can have many documents open at once, some in Develop and others in different Personas. If the buttons disappeared in Develop, the whole toolbar would jump around in a distracting way when you switched between documents. Thanks, Andy. Leigh 1
MikeFromMesa Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 Ah. Yes. I see that now. I am so used to working on only one image at a time that I forgot that some people would be switching back and forth. I am glad you are thinking ahead, not like me ...
