Sudi
Hello, I'm unable to open tiff files saved with layers. So far I have lost two photos after processing. I tried opening in other software like GIMP and ImageMagik, one files reports invalid tag, and the other does not open at all. For now, I'm now saving all files to .afphoto instead of tiff, but would like to store layers in tiff (one color and one monochrome layer). Thanks for your consideration advance. walt.farrell
It should be possible to save them with layers, but are you aware that TIFF files do not have native support for layers? Any layers saved but programs such as PS or Affinity use a proprietary format that only the original program will be able to interpret fully. Staff Dan C Posted June 10, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Sudi, Welcome to the forums Please see the below thread for info regarding Tiff 'layers' - when exporting a TIFF with layers in Affinity they are Affinity layers only, meaning other applications will not be able to read the data. I hope this helps. Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.
