I can see that a basic one would just enforce a 45 degree head with the head thickness matching the arrow body. But - those two properties could also be customisable - i.e., adjust the head length (and by implication the head angle), and the head thickness as a proportion of the body thickness or completely independent. Shall I just see how it works out? Maybe with the option to have the mid points linked so it stays parallel (as per the top left two), or independent (as per the top right two). If we could adjust width that would be good too as per bottom left. Some of the other shapes already use Shift to move pairs of control points together, which seems to work fine. (Not to be confused with the future Chevron shape as per above suggestion). If you have any other arrow head suggestions - I'm all ears. Bear in mind that the arrow geometry is dynamically created - there are a lot of parameters that play with/against each other when you combine the different head styles. Whatever we do will have to work for all of the combinations. Your examples show fairly uniform arrow styles, but there would be nothing stopping you choosing some extreme values - such as a very thin stem line, with a very thick head line on your first example. The roundness would have to 'fit'. Anyway - it's a challenge that I'll look into. Metryq Posted August 6, 2014 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I gather that all these arrows are "shapes." Is there any modifier to put an arrowhead on the end of a stroke? One of the simple functions I use vector art apps for is electronic flow diagrams, such as how the components of a TV studio go together. (CAD apps are overkill for this. I save them for 3D work.) I have Illustrator, but would love to get away from Adobe. I also have other vector art apps, but nothing with a Windows counterpart (for a co-worker). Both of these will be added to our renderer soon and come as free updates after launch. DrawPlus is a completely different program with a 10+ year old codebase - we started from scratch with Affinity, so they are not compatible. This was done for essential reasons, rather than crippling the new product with inherent limitations.
