Ron P.
What problems are you having with using Masks in Affinity Photo? I also have PhotoPaint, and in my opinion Affinity Photo is leagues better than PhotoPaint, especially when it comes to masks. You don't need to select Mask Overlay mode to paint on masks in Affinity Photo. You really can't see what changes or effects are being applied in PhotoPaint, whereas with Affinity Photo it gives you a preview in the brush circle. In Affinity Photo you just need to make sure you have the mask layer selected to paint on it. Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions.
