Staff MEB Posted May 5, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 5, 2015 Hi catlover, You can use a mask. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
catlover
Hi, MEB, Thank you. I'm afraid I did not express myself clearly. I've tried the mask. In fact, I've tried all available shadings of gradient (e.g. Linear,Elliptical,Radial, etc.) None of them get me the result I would like. To achieve the this, I would have to create 4 separate masks, one for each of the 4 sides of the picture. Quite a labourios way of getting there..... See attachment. The left one is the result I'm after, the right one is what I get with the presently available shadings. Would the addition of a rectangular shading be helpful, you think ? Staff MEB Posted May 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 12, 2015 Thanks for the file. It's easier to help when we can see what's going on. Here's a quicker way to get the same result: - select the image and apply a Inner glow FX effect. Choose white for the colour and around 30px for the radius (in the case of this particular image). You can still adjust it as needed without much effort. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Staff MEB Posted May 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 12, 2015 "The only stupid questions are the ones that are left unasked." No need to apologise catlover. You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful.
