Just have it selected and either click the paper icon (!) in the Hyperlinks studio or choose Text -> Interactive -> Insert Hyperlink. Why that is in the Text menu when it operates on images and other types of objects is a question to impose on those who came up with said scheme, but in any case, it works. The hyperlink in this instance would be an image - there is no text involved except for the URL that is linked to (if the link points to a URL) which is an implementation detail rather than part of the design of the document.
