kearn Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Hi Affinity, Is there a way to see the masks themselves (isolated and in grey scale) rather than just inferring their state by their effect, or looking at the little thumbnail? If there isn't, there should be. An explanatory movie on all the various forms of masks would be helpful too. Changing the effects of masks by dragging them around the layers palette is clear and intuitive though. I tried using the Pen tool to make a selection for using the Patch tool because the Freehand selection tool (which is what seems to be available within the Patch tool) was hard to control. And it worked quite well - the path was made first, turned to a selection, and then the Patch tool was opened.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted April 19, 2015 Staff Posted April 19, 2015 Hi, You can view / edit a mask as greyscale - just Option-Click it in the layers panel! Thanks, Andy.
