Get unwanted checkedboard background pattern for .svg saved image

Recommended Posts

I made a .afdesign file that has several  tiff images imported in a 4 quadrant pattern with a plain white background behind the imported tiff images.

When I export it as a tiff file everything still looks good ( the background is still white)!

BUT... if I export it a .svg file, the background is an unwanted fine checkered board pattern in stead of white .

I prefer to have the .svg file but not with the checkered board background.

  1. What can I do to the original .afdesign file to keep the background white after I export it as a .svg file?

Thanks

In File > Document Setup... On the Colour Tab, is Transparent Background Checked?

If it is Uncheck it. and try exporting again.

In the Tiff export More panel is the Matte set to white?

The checkerboard pattern is not actually part of the SVG file -- it is just how many apps display transparent parts of an SVG file.
