dave4224
Hi, I've been looking for a way to set the default letter spacing on highlighted paras. Alt/arrow tracks in lumps of ten, I can't find any preference feature to set that to five? I know I can adjust manually, but...

Your topic title talks about tracking (basically, letter spacing, I think) and you mention letter spacing, but then you talk about "Alt/arrow". Alt/arrow is, I think, used only for kerning (space between two specific letters), not tracking. To adjust the letter spacing generally for your paragraph you would want to use tracking. Highlight the paragraph, then in the Character panel set the Tracking field to the value that works for you. dave4224
You can also use alt-arrow to track whole paras when they're highlighted - the default is to track by 10. InDesign has an option in programme-wide preferences to change the tracking/kerning, I'm wondering if APub has a similar option somewhere? I'm being niggly, it's just something I'd like to change! Thanks. I hadn't discovered that. Looks like you're right that it's 10% increments ror Alt + right-arrow (or 50% if you use Alt+Shift + right-arrow). fde101
I don't see an option to adjust that either.
