Affinity Designer Work Book page 163

Recommended Posts

On page 163 (Designer WorkBook), look at the top right picture. I do not understand this instruction. I can do on the right side for the gradient (one color), but I need another gradient on the left side. How can I do that? Another question related to this issue on the picture, why it has three black dots and three vertical lines?

Hi Webworld,

Welcome to the forums :)

You don't need two gradients for this you can just use the one which is how the example is made. The three dots represent the colours and the location they appear on the gradient and the vertical lines control the strength of the colours as they blend into the next.

Thanks

Callum

Hello Callum,

I thought that you would have said that.  I see that I have to click once on the dot - one at a time for adjusting the color from the color wheel and then do the same thing for another dot.  At last, I adjust the "width bar" on each dot by moving back and forth - mostly on left and right - not in the middle dot, not yet.  The middle dot - I adjust it for the gradient width.   Not too bad for the program.  Thanks!

This is mentioned immediately in your paragraph - "Be sure to check Colours & Gradients on p. 102 for more details." On that page, exactly 104, it's described in "Gradient control".

Thank you for showing me the information.  I cannot believe that I forgot about that page.
