Hi,

I'm new at the iPad Version of Affinity Photo. I know how to import a macro (free macros von Affinity) to the iPad, but how can I generate my own macros? Do I need the desktop version for generating and export?

Thanks.

Hi pfaffi :)

Please see the following thread for how to install macros on the iPad -

Unfortunately there's no Macro Studio to allow you to create your own macros on the iPad version yet, but this is something we may implement in a future update!

@Dan C

Ok, I found out now that I need the Desktop Version to create and export the macros. Then I'm able to import these macros on the iPad.

But I don't know why you didn't tell me this...

He did in his last bottom sentence!

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

You also need to export them from desktop as .macros files not .macro (note the s) or they won't import on the iPad.

M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB   lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Affinity Design 1.10.5
Affinity Publisher 2, Affinity Designer 2, Affinity Photo 2 and betas.
