pfaffi Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Hi, I'm new at the iPad Version of Affinity Photo. I know how to import a macro (free macros von Affinity) to the iPad, but how can I generate my own macros? Do I need the desktop version for generating and export? Thanks. Pfaffi Quote
Dan C Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Hi pfaffi Please see the following thread for how to install macros on the iPad - Unfortunately there's no Macro Studio to allow you to create your own macros on the iPad version yet, but this is something we may implement in a future update! pfaffi Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 @Dan C Ok, I found out now that I need the Desktop Version to create and export the macros. Then I'm able to import these macros on the iPad. But I don't know why you didn't tell me this... Quote

pfaffi Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 Ok, maybe it's because I'm not a native speaker and new to AP. For me that wasn't a clear "yes, you need the desktop version" Then sorry. Quote
DM1 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 You also need to export them from desktop as .macros files not .macro (note the s) or they won't import on the iPad. pfaffi 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
