Nana Trae Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 I'm new to Affinity and trying to import new brushes. When I get do "downloads" I am not able to get into any of my downloads! Is there something I'm doing wrong? I read/watched how you can used some of PS brushes but I also tried downloading and using some that others have used with Affinity and they won't work either. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much. Quote

There are two ways of importing your brushes into this panel: 10 hours ago, v_kyr said: From the dropdown menu to the right, choose Import Brushes. Navigate to the .afbrushes file you want to import. Highlight the .afbrushes file and choose Open. From an Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS) window, locate the directory containing the .afbrushes file you want to import. Click-drag this .afbrushes file and offer it to the Affinity app you are using. The mouse cursor icon should change—you can now release the mouse button and a dialog will appear to confirm your brushes have been imported. Once your brushes are imported, you can now select them from your Brushes Panel, choose a brush and begin using it with the painting tools. Tip: In Affinity Designer, to use raster brushes you will need to be in the ‘Pixel Persona’ for the brushes to appear as they are not vector. v_kyr Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Well that's why the quoted and referenced explanation source talks about "There are two ways of importing your brushes into this panel" namely point 1 + 2.
