VectorVonDoodle Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Hi - when I go to draw a new vector object with the pen tool, it automatically defaults to a ‘none’ fill, even if I’ve been drawing a previous shape and filled that with a colour. Is there any way it can fill with the previously used colour (or any colour) as a default rather than no colour at all, meaning you have to fill each drawn shape individually? It’s very annoying, but maybe I’m just using it wrong. Appreciate any advice on this... Quote

Although you didn’t say which app you are using, it works the same for this. Set them how you like, then go Defaults > Save (Document menu). Everything new will use those settings. DM1 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 On the iPad, if you set the pen colour using colour studio, the pen will retain that colour when switching tools to pencil, brush etc. They appear to share the same colour setting so if you change colour on one tool it affects all other vector drawing tools. VectorVonDoodle Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 Thanks DM1 - not sure I understand though. On the iPad I use the pen tool - even if a colour is previously set - when I start to draw a new shape I t reverts to no fill? Is there anyway to keep the colour setting when drawing a new shape with the pen tool? Quote
