Sorry for taking so long -- hope this helps. 
One way is invert the image with Ctrl + I
With layers as used here > duplicate layers > add a "contrast negative" blend layer to the top layer 
As with most "different" edits; it all happened while fiddling around to see what happens --- my problem is remembering how and what I fiddled around with  LOL!!
