Image box in master pages

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Is there a way to add an image box in a master page that I can customise in the page itself? Trying to do a photo book and I have a few templates that I want to use. I would like to setup an image box in the master page, so that I have the images place always at the same place, but obviously change images from one page to the other.

Thanks

Not yet, without using some tricks that are discussed elsewhere on the forum (by using the sync feature on the symbols page) but are not overly recommended.

Thanks for your answer. Hopefully something that we come in a next release.

Best regards,

Philippe

The Affinity team has indicated in no uncertain terms that they are well aware that the current implementation of master pages is not complete and that they have work to do in this area; I'm not sure if they expect this particular functionality to be in the first full release (1.7.0) or if it is something to be added in one of the next few after that, but I wouldn't expect it to linger for too many versions.

Perhaps the readers of this thread would like to try our initial attempt at adding the Master Page text frame and picture frame behaviour and features discussed here.

Please create new bugs forum threads for any bugs you find or post in this discussion/suggestions forum for missing features.
