Black Friday discount returning?

Hi,

 

I missed the recent Black Friday sale on Affinity software because I wanted to trial Photo on iPad and Mac before deciding which platform would work best. I did not see the sale was ending so quickly.  Will a similar sale be happening this month?  I would like the time to play with the different platforms for a few days before deciding so it would be great to know if I should get started right away or if I can wait (already a busy December) to start the research.

 

Also, and this would solve my issue, is there any plans or considerations for offering a cross platform license at a lower price than buying Photo for each platform?  I use pretty much every major platform (iOS, MacOS, Windows, Android) for editing various photos and being able to easily (and economically) use Affinity on the device best suited for the time would be a HUGE plus

Welcome to the Affinity forum.

Unfortunately we do not announce promotions ahead of time. I would hazard a guess that since we have recently had a discount offer, that it is unlikely we would have another sale soon. However that is in no way a guarantee, in truth I do not know when the next promotion may be.

We feel that our apps offer fantastic value for money, even if a user should require both a Mac and a Windows licence, and it is for that reason that we would not look to offer a cross platform licence in the foreseeable future.

The regular price of Affinity Photo on iPad is already so low that buying it at 30% off during the Black Friday sale should have been a no-brainer. I think it was mentioned in a couple of places that the sale would end on Tuesday 27th.

There were sale offers on all of the apps when the 1.5 and 1.6 desktop versions and the 1.6 iPad version were launched, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there’s another sale when the 1.7 desktop versions (currently in beta) are released to retail, but I’m only a customer and I’m merely guessing.
