Select multiple symbols in Symbol Studio

Recommended Posts

First off: I searched the forum but did not find anything. There is a chance I missed  posts on this topic before.

I made a design (in AD) consisting of several vector objects. I selected all of them (without grouping them) and clicked on 'Create' in the Symbols Studio.
It turned out that this created a symbol for each single vector object that is part of the design (nine of them). That was not what I had intended.

To delete all these symbols I tried to SHIFT+click on each of them. This is not possible in the Symbols Studio.
I had to select each of these items individually, right mouse click and select 'Delete'.

I assume, this qualifies for a suggestion: please allow to select multiple symbols in Symbol Studio.

BTW: to create a symbol from the design I had to group all the vector shapes. This works well.

Thank you :)

Functionality of the symbols panel is very limited.

There is no way to select more than one symbol, so you really do have to delete each one individually.

And yes the confirmation dialogue will drive you mad.
