Sulaco.one Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Hi. I have problems with inpaint transparent areas and inpaint brush tool after develope persona for raw photos. When I want to inpaint transparent areas (resterise - select - alpha range - select partially transparent or opaque than invert - edit - inpaint) I get what you see on image 1. Original image with selection 1_1. When I use inpaint brush tool (pixel layer selected) i get what you see on image 2. It draws in black. Brush tool doesn't work only with .cr2. This problems starts only on this week. Maybe i changed some develope persona settings that affect on selection? 1. 1_1. 2. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted November 18, 2018 Staff Posted November 18, 2018 Hi @Sulaco.one, Welcome to the forums. You can try to reset it. You can do this by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. Thanks, Gabe. Quote
HVDB Photography Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Is this a 32bit HDR colour format you're working on ? Does it occurs when switching to 16bit ? Gregory St. Laurent Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Try rasterizing the layer first, then apply your inpaint to selection. Quote Desktop: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB Ram, RTX 3070, LG 27" 4K 10Bit Windows 11 22h2 Dell Laptop: i7 7700, 32GB Ram, GTX 1060, 16" 4K Windows 10 22h2

But I will remember the advice just in case. 1 hour ago, Gregory St. Laurent said: Try rasterizing the layer first, then apply your inpaint to selection. Of course, I did everything in that order.
