DougL
Forgive me if this is an easy fix. I read and tried every remedy I could find, and they didn't work.
Staff stokerg Posted November 14, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 14, 2018 Hi DougL and Welcome to the Forums, The brush is making a selection, i get the same when my skies have a mix of colours/shades but if i click and drag the mouse it selects the rest of the sky or try using a larger brush size. You might get better results using the Flood Selection Tool instead of the selection brush for something like this.
R C-R
If you have not yet seen it, watching the Affinity Photo - Making Selections video tutorial may help you better understand how the various selection tools work. toltec
I very quickly went around with the Selection Brush Tool set to Snap to Edges, then filled it. It picked the sky up in one go. The brush was about the size of the red blob. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
DougL
A larger brush size worked, and the video was most helpful. Thanks.
