Newbie needs advice please

complete newbie, so this may seem "silly question". I have talked to my likely printer who does not have Affinity software, so he said save as "Hi-res pdf" file, but I cannot save as anything but a Affinity file - or can I and, if so, how please?

Don't save as, but go to file export, there is a pdf option

Affinity software only ‘saves’ in Affinity format.

You need to go File > Export, then you have lots of save formats to choose from.

Select PDF then you will be able to set various quality options for printing, etc.

Damn. Us Brits will have to get faster if we are going to cope outside Europe .

Thanks for the advice Dutchshader, hope the "faster" comment was not for me Toltec - I posted the query and then had to go to a meeting!? Perhaps it was applauding Dutch`s speed of response?

Yep, Dutchshader is FAST, he often beats me to it. Or maybe I'm just slow 

I don't know for sure, but I think it's something to do with all that cream

Hello again guys..I have created a text box and gave it a fill colour. Now EVERY text box opens with that fill colour and I cannot find where or how to change it. The only colour change I seem to be able to make is of the font colour? Frustrating me! Thanks

Try ... Edit > Defaults > Revert, that will put everything back to basics.
