Chesney8315
Hi, sorry if this has been answered elsewhere (I’ve tried searching before posting). Anyway I do property photography so can end up with 20 to 40 pictures in a project that I export to iCloud. Is there a way to export multiple photos at once? It’s a real pain in the posterior having to export one st a time!!! thanks Darren
DM1
Pictures in a project are .afphoto Files (not really pictures). You need to export each one as a jpg (or whatever) into a folder in iPad or cloud. Once they are all exported (saved as pics) you can use Files to select and transfer multiple pics. Chesney8315
Hi, thanks for the reply, I’m ok once I get them to the cloud, that’s the quick part from there. It’s sending 20-40 photos, one at a time, from af to the cloud. This is the part I want to speed up somehow?
DM1
Unfortunately (to my knowledge). there is no batch processing available on the iPad. The desktop version (which I don’t have) may offer this option, if so someone will be along to confirm. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). However, if you loaded each picture into one Affinity Photo document as a separate layer, you could use the Export Studio and export all the layers as slices. I assume many of them are the same size? You can set a folder on cloud storage as the output destination for the slices. Then it’s just a one click solution to output 20-40 photos (layers) at one time. There is a good Affinity tutorial video that shows this in action. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/photo/ipad/video/288501904 Note: I just tried and it works fine but, Photo exports the whole layer as a slice. So if you cropped the photo, the bit outside the current canvas is included in the slice, albeit transparent. It would therefore be necessary to rasterise any (outside canvas) images first.
