Phojoegraphy
iPads are a daily use device for me and I'm on either Procreate, Affinity Designer or both for almost every project. I just pulled the trigger pre-ordering a new Gen 3 iPad Pro 12.9" as I'm currently working on a Gen 1, 12.9Pro and although I'm excited, I'm also nervous because rarely am I a day one upgrader. Can any of the dev's speak to 1.6 (or 1.7) running on the new iPad Pro? I'm hoping to hear that's it's running smooth and stable so I can get rid of my older iPad sooner. DM1
Wish I could justify another upgrade. The new iPads will be running the same iOS software as your existing iPad. If it works on one it should work on the other. Screen size and resolution differences between models have shown there can be different bugs afffecting different models though. I will be interested in dev's response. Hopefully you don't have issues as it's becoming a long time between fixes. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Staff DWright Posted November 4, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 4, 2018 The apps performance will naturally scale up with extra CPU and GPU cores on the new Gen 3 iPad pro. We’ll tweak UI for rounded corners and move our contextual controls up a bit from bottom so doesn’t clash with the home swipe area. Will put in some new pencil double tap functions too... Awesome - I was hoping to hear that it was running well. (I'm going to make a suggestion in the proper forum to make an option to disable the double tap option.) How soon can we expect an update? - I know I'm asking a lot there.

I figured there could be UI issues as well.
