What kind of merging did you have in mind? A smooth transition between two slightly overlapping pictures, selective transparency in one picture placed directly on top of another (to let parts of the bottom picture show through), or something else?

Have you watched the tutorials, this one might give you one idea of how it can be done

Ok, I took series of a face profiles and I need to replace a sad face with  a smiling face in another picture using Affinity in my iPad Pro
