Ideas on Separated Mode

Recommended Posts

I’d prefer the Separated Mode to the Non-Separated, if

1) the Context Toolbar was still visible

2) the Studio Panels/Context Toolbar/Tools could be glued to the display edges

3) the tools could be arranged in just one row as well

Hi Matthias,

Which version are you using, the MAS or the Beta?

Maybe i'm missing something here but i believe you can already do all of that in the beta:

1) The context tool is visible when you enter Separated mode (you must have a document open to see it)

2) The Studio Panels, Persona/Context toolbar and Toolbar all snap to the edges of the screen in separated mode

3) You can go to View -> Customise Tools... and change the number of columns of the Toolbar to one on the bottom left of the dialog.

Hi MEB,

1) I was using the Beta. You are right: Now the Toolbar and the Context Toolbar are visible. I swear they weren’t a few hours earlier. Great to have them back!

2) Yeah, they do! Maybe I accidentally opened the MAS version?? One minor thing: The Tools should snap as well.

3) I knew this one. But as I tweaked it already in non-separated mode to one column view I expected this preference to be valid throughout the app and since it changed back to the default two columns when changing window mode I assumed it just wasn’t possible in Separated Mode. Should have tinkered a bit more with it. But then maybe other users presume the same: Having tweaked the Tools look should be valid in any of the two window modes.
