Fotoloco
Is there a way to make an adjustment layer that erases pixels? So you could do something like make a curves layer that removes all red pixels - and not by making them white? Or to "subtract" one layer from another? (erase blend mode seems to only care about transparency of the two layers, not opacity or color.)
Fotoloco
As an example, the ability to replace all grey tones with transparent ones, creating a layer containing only hues and transparent pixels, would be very handy.
toltec
You could try Select > Select Sampled Colour, select what you want and then press delete. Is that good enough for what you want ? Fotoloco
Not selective enough unfortunately. It always takes some of the other tones with it. If like in the example above you are only trying to remote grey tones you take a lot of color with it.
Staff Dan C Posted May 17, 2018 Staff Share Posted May 17, 2018 Hi Fotoloco, Firstly, are you using Affinity Photo or Designer please? Toltecs suggestion here is potentially Affinitys closest option to achieving the desired output, but this depends on the result you are looking for. Could you provide samples of your work, or perhaps a more in-depth description of the required output? There may be another tool to help you achieve this, but I am a little confused based on your first post as removing any colour from an image will change the overall colour/tone of the image, unless you use the aforementioned tool with tolerance set at 1-2% for very specific coloured pixels. Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
