"filter" layer - make pixels transparent

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to make an adjustment layer that erases pixels? So you could do something like make a curves layer that removes all red pixels - and not by making them white? Or to "subtract" one layer from another? (erase blend mode seems to only care about transparency of the two layers, not opacity or color.)

You could try Select > Select Sampled Colour,  select what you want and then press delete. Is that good enough for what you want ?

Hi Fotoloco,

Firstly, are you using Affinity Photo or Designer please?
Toltecs suggestion here is potentially Affinitys closest option to achieving the desired output, but this depends on the result you are looking for. Could you provide samples of your work, or perhaps a more in-depth description of the required output?
There may be another tool to help you achieve this, but I am a little confused based on your first post as removing any colour from an image will change the overall colour/tone of the image, unless you use the aforementioned tool with tolerance set at 1-2% for very specific coloured pixels.

Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.

If you require urgent assistance, please create a new thread and a member of our team will be sure to assist asap.

Many thanks :)
