Ryukote Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Hi, Sory if this is duplicate question, but I would like to know if it is possible to port key from Affinity Photo to Affinity Photo from Windows Store? If so, how to do it? Thanks. Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 6, 2018 Staff Posted April 6, 2018 Hi Ryukote, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's no way to swap the license from the Affinity Store to the Windows Store, sorry. These are independent stores. We only manage our own. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Ryukote Posted April 6, 2018 Author Posted April 6, 2018 That is sad, cause if I would like to use it from Windows Store, I would have to buy it again and if I install it, I would have 2 indentical softwares on my pc. I hope you take notice on this and fix that in the future Quote
Alfred Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 There is nothing to fix. The Affinity Store version is sold by Serif and requires a product key, but the Microsoft Store version is sold by Microsoft and doesn't need a product key because it's tied to your Microsoft account. Since Microsoft and Serif don't share data about individual customers, there would be no way to connect the two purchases. Why do you want to switch, anyway? The only advantage I can see is that updates are more automated. On the downside, you don't have an installer file that you can run without an Internet connection, and you can't participate in customer beta tests because that currently requires a product key.
