Can you convert an existing working area in a non-artboard document to an artboard?  I can't find any easy way to do this, please don't say you have to create a whole new document from scratch!

Just use the Artboard tool and drag over your document area.

Hi ralphonz,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

To convert the existing canvas (non-artboard based document) into an artboard, select the Artboard Tool and press the Insert Artboard button in the context toolbar. As long as Document is selected in the Size dropdown its current dimensions will be used to turn the canvas into an artboard.
