In short, what will i need to do this? Ive read a long USB cable? Will it be a USB to USB or another type of cable? Also how do i tether in affinity? Is it possible. Keep it simple, thanks guys Steve
yakk
Hi Steve You can use the USB cable you had with your camera but if you want to be more comfortable, you'll need a longer one, 5m max. The official one from Canon is the USB IFC-500U. It's USB to mini-USB type B. On the computer you'll need an application which is able to manage the tethering. AP cannot. Capture One can and I think Lightroom too. Quote OS X 10.12 - AP 1.6.6 - AD 1.
Erwe
You can also use Apple Photo or the other utility on your Mac. In german it's called "Digitale Bilder", I don't know the english translation.
