resunoiz Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 when making brushes "points" or similar with a blend brush, the blend seems like concentrical circles, is not smooth and linear. see the sample. same brush, same dimension in photoshop is way too smooth, you can't see passages from a hue to another. there's a way to correct/attenuat that behaviour? Staff Leigh Posted November 16, 2017 Staff Posted November 16, 2017 Have you tried to changing your Document's Colour Mode to RGB (16 bit) in Document > Colour Format? Quote
resunoiz Posted November 16, 2017 Author Posted November 16, 2017 yes, this is a 16 bit one. the jpg comrpession made it lossy, but was in that format. Quote
Staff Leigh Posted November 30, 2017 Staff Posted November 30, 2017 Thanks for confirming. Do you have Preferences > Performance > Dither Gradients enabled? Quote
Alfred Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 PNG generally works better than JPEG for screenshots, especially where text is displayed, and the file size is often quite small. Cropping the image will also help to reduce the file size significantly. Staff Leigh Posted December 5, 2017 Staff Posted December 5, 2017 The only thing that can be done is to add a Add Noise Live Adjustment Layer to the layer with the banding. Make sure you have Monochromatic selected and use the Noise slider to remove banding. Quote
