russcript
This is a feature in most 3d apps, and I've thought for a long time that it would make vector editing much better.Let me know what you think! I made a short video to demo what the feature is, Could anyone tell me if theres a way to embed a video in a post? http://vimeo.com/117440387 Patrick Connor
ronnyb
MODO has this feature for the SubD modeler and its sooooo awesome! It makes those pesky beziers behave much more organically and fluidly. When tied to a brush UI, it's super powerful and plastic. Great idea!! retrograde
Yes that's a great feature of Blender. I brought up a similar discussion a while back. I love Blender's implementation of this using the scroll wheel to increase or decrease the influence of the falloff, very slick. I don't know why vector apps haven't had something similar to this...? I'm sure it would come in handy for complex organic shape manipulation. ronnyb
Adobe Labs will release it in the 2028 version of Creative Quanta Suite, available via genetic-harvest subscription and a convenience fee of $299,999 per year (adjusted for hyperinflation). Staff MattP Posted January 23, 2015 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2015 Hi Russ, Thank you for the video - it really does make things so much clearer than trying to describe it! That looks truly awesome and I can definitely imagine where it would be useful! I've got a lot on my plate at the moment, but I definitely think I'd like to look at adding this in the future, so if you can stick with me and give me a little time I can try to make it happen! Incidentally, to embed a video (and this is how odd this forum is!) just enter the http address into your post as simple text (don't make it into a link) and it'll automatically parse the link and convert it into the most useful format - in this case, a video thumbnail... Thanks again! :) Matt ronnyb

Thanks again! :) Matt I'm sure you've got higher priority features ATM, I just thought I'd get the idea out there- it would be such a great tool for vector editing. .. I had tried just pasting the link in; for some reason firefox did'nt display it correctly, IE works fine though. Thanks
retrograde
Hi Matt, it really is slick. You should google/youtube proportional editing in Blender to see it in action in 3d. ronnyb 1 Quote http://www.kevincreative.com https://www.behance.net/kevincreative https://dribbble.com/kevincreative https://www.instagram.com/kevincreative/
