Chibi.beru
Hello, I am new to Affinity, so please excuse me if this question looks obvous. I wonder how I can rotate an object aroud a point other than its center. I would like to move the rotation point... Is it possible? Thank a lot in advance. Staff TonyB Posted January 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2015 This feature is coming soon. Please see our roadmap for features we will deliver for free over the coming year.
pmeinertz
Until that feature is coming, I use this way. Draw a circle with center at the point where you want to rotate and make sure the circle fully surrounds the object you want to rotate. Then select the circle and your object and rotate together, then your object will rotate around the circles center. Just delete the circle when you are done or just hide it for later. Gear maker
Good idea pmeinertz. Thank you. Nice tip. Too bad they can't be linked. I guess a group works. FYI a donut shape helps because the center point is marked and saved. A_B_C 1 Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
