How do I purchase this software as a gift?

ITunes App store does not seem to allow for this possibility. Please advise. And don't say "Gift Card", please.

Do you own a copy? I could be wrong about this but can you download your paid version from the Appstore and put it on more than one machine?

 

The other answer is to send a link over to the recipient, to download the free 10 day trial, if available. Then hopefully offer to pay for the full program later on.

Thanks Peter, I wish to buy a copy for someone on the other side of the country, so the first option is out. The second option, while technically possible, represents a horrible gifting experience. Any other suggestions?

Ask the App store or Affinity staff.

 

The other option is slightly expensive :huh:, but lovely :wub: ...buy your recipient a new shiny Mac: put AD on it and see their face REALLY light up. After that igeoghegan I'm stuck for ideas. You'll just have to wait for better ideas to arrive shortly from the other users.

Do you have an iPhone or iPad? I don't know why this isn't an option on the Mac App store (or the Apple Store), but you can send instant gift cards using an iOS device. The only caveat is the recipient must be using the same country App Store as you (no cross border gifting apparently).

 

I guess you're still stuck sending them a link to the app, but it's better than the alternatives.
