If you've posed a question but had no responses, the best thing to do is to 'bump' the thread by posting to it again. Based on this, I figured I must need to send PM's a different way. This was about a week ago when I added you as a friend, and on that same a few minutes later I posted my follow-up question to the same/original thread. Sounds like that should've 'bumped' the topic, as you said. I'll haven't checked the thread for responses in a few days - I'll check again now.
