mathiasree
How can I draw a rectangle form by manually inputting dimensions (height, width) ? In illustrator, I selct my shape, click on the canvas and then can input horizontal and vertical sizes. To position the shape on the artboard, I input x and y values in the control panel. How is this done in affinity designer? I´ve been looking a lot but probably didn´t see the obvious?
Staff Chris B Posted January 16, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 16, 2017 Hey mathiasree, welcome to the Affinity Forums. You can use the Transform Panel to manually enter X/Y positions and W/H values. If it is missing from the UI, go to View > Studio > Transform. mathiasree
Thank You so much. I had this panel turned off. Happy now. Chris B
artistmikejay
Is the team at affinity looking into moving the transform panel into the context tool bar? This way on click, one could easily change parameters as needed on the fly instead of looking through the panels. I feel this would be a better space for the operation.
