What a shame ………….

Not every programmer has experience in writing a scripting engine and integrating it into a graphics program. The ability here is beyond question. The question is, how long do you want to bind an employee to familiarize himself with a theme?
And as Serif announced in a statement, the development of a scripting engine is in progress, but still in a very early alpha phase.

Very unfortunate that Cut /Copy are not implemented as the instruction rather than some 'oh you want this old image' !
I had a  macro to try to create patterns -- it started as  "  cut  paste  paste fliphorizontal....   "   and so on to create the standard 9-grid.
recorded it - tried it and it worked fine ( or at least appeared to )

Ran it again today after about 6 months and the old image was created ---- spent ages wondering what the ... was going on.
Finally found this design error - and yes I call it that  --   😞

Yes indeed --- I sorely miss  Scriptographer  - the wonderful scripting plug in for Illustrator - It made all sorts of things easy - like scatter and other sorts of vector brushes from selections, palette create and apply.....    But then I was happy writing small bits of Javascript.

please excuse my trip down memory lane.....
