The file was not found - file path with spaces

Recommended Posts

I just tried to open Affinity Designer via Affinity Photo ("edit in Affinity Designer"), but Designer couldn't open the file.

Reproduce:

* Create an Affinity Designer file in a folder with spaces, e.g. "My Folder". Save the file with spaces, too, e.g. "My Design File.afdesign".

* Open this file in Affinity Photo and select "File > Open in Affinity Designer")

Multiple modal windows will appear because the path gets split, like:

* "F:\Dropbox\My" The file was not found

* "Folder\My" The file was not found

* "Design" The file was not found

* "File.afdesign" The file was not found

I don't know whether affinity photo just sends the path without "" to encapsulate the path, or affinity designer doesn't recognoise the path as a string.
