Photo Support for TIF files with Alpha Channel

Hi,

 

With Affinity Photo having the following issues with TIF files with Alpha Channel:

 

• This type of TIF file seems to be treated as RAW;
• TIF files with Transparencies (masks) in the Alpha Channel are opened as a black image.
• Embedded Color Profiles are not recognised

 

Are there plans to support TIF files with Alpha Channels?

Can you send us the TIF file you are having issues with. A DropBox link would be good if the file is too big.

I wonder if it is corrupt but it is OK to open in other apps.

This issue with TIF files has also been an issue with Affinity Photo on the Mac platform.  Serif has been working on a fix for this for quite awhile now.

Thanks for the file - this appears to be something weird which Capture One 8 Windows is adding to the TIFF files (which makes our app think they are CR2 RAW files).

 

It is fixed for the next beta.

Thank you, that particular file was last processed in Topaz Labs ReMask but was initially generated from CO1 8
