SilverHawk Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 I need to export information about layers and objects (name, position, rotation, scale) to json or xml or another format which I can parse. How can I do this? Quote
Staff MEB Posted October 25, 2016 Staff Posted October 25, 2016 Hi mwojteczko, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Currently there's only options to export files + create/generate a json file for Apple icons in the Export Persona (see screenshot). Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SilverHawk Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 Are there any plans to add this export format? I would like to use Affinity Designer as game ui editor and I need to export all layers with parameters (position, rotation, ect). MJSfoto1956 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted October 26, 2016 Staff Posted October 26, 2016 It's possible but i don't have enough info to give you a definite answer. Maybe someone from the dev team can give you some hint. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SilverHawk Posted October 26, 2016 Author Posted October 26, 2016 How can I contact with dev team or suggest them new feature? Quote
Staff MEB Posted October 26, 2016 Staff Posted October 26, 2016 I'm moving this thread to the Feature Requests section. The dev team also monitor/participate/reply actively here in the forums so they are aware of new requests and suggestions from users. MattP is the Project lead on Affinity Designer but all developers/serif staff are here too. Just look for the "Staff" badge below the avatars to identify them. Patrick C Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 This was requested over two years ago now. This is the only thing preventing our graphics team from switching to Affinity at the moment. I'd add that it'd be very helpful to be able to create some kind of hierarchy in the slices export (and have their positions be relative to their parent slices) We're using ExportKit and Photoshop at the moment, but the licence for ExportKit is super expensive. We'd love to be able to use Affinity for everything.
