MissV Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I used to use the glyphs panel to check the character map and symbols fonts on illustrator, it did save a lot of time to see what was available, specially with fonts like font awesome etc... any chance of adding it? Frank Jonen 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted October 6, 2016 Staff Posted October 6, 2016 I MissV, Welcome to Affinity Forums and thanks for your feedback. A glyphs panel was already requested quite a few times. We are considering it but it may still take some time. Skyesofrock 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Skyesofrock Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Just adding my voice by saying this feature would save me tons of time for UI work. Thanks for considering! Quote
Stephen_H Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 You know, OSX has a Glyphs panel built into the operating system – the character viewer. Just double-click the icon you want and it inserts it wherever your cursor is, in any application. It works in Affinity applications perfectly. The perfect solution while you wait for a prettier interface from Affinity. MissV 1 Quote
MissV Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 Yes, that's a great feature, unfortunately you can't set up the font face. See, I mainly used that feature to check symbols and extras in fonts and icon fonts. I use the Font book now, but is not the same as having it built in the application. I suppose it is not a priority though, but it would be nice ;) Quote
