davemac2015 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Ok, bear with me & feel free to shoot this down as unneeded. What if we could specify a starting layer and an ending layer for an object, with adjustable sliders for which parts/percentage of the object were changing layer level? Something akin to the gradient tool, only for "depthiness" :) Quote
Fixx Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Failed to visualize meaning. Can you explain further? davemac2015 1 Quote
davemac2015 Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 I either did a bad job of explaining it or it's a bad idea! :) Ok, here goes: Say I have an object, like a rectangle. It's on the top-most layer. What I'm picturing is a tool similar to the gradient, where I can select the starting layer and the ending layer, where the layer depth of each portion of the object can be controlled. This might allow funky effects like weaves, ribbons, etc. Hope that makes a little more sense... if not, I'll chalk it up to a poor concept and call it a day! :) Quote
