GibbsPSU Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Does the panorama feature allow you do produce stereographic panoramas, otherwise known as little planets? Looking at a 360 degree x 180 degree panorama. Thanks in advance! Quote
Staff James Ritson Posted September 19, 2016 Staff Posted September 19, 2016 Hi, presuming that you've already stitched your 360x180 image (Photo doesn't do this type of stitching yet), try Filters - Distort - Rectangular to Polar. Hope that helps! phips 1 Quote @JamesR_Affinity for Affinity resources and more Official Affinity Photo tutorials
GibbsPSU Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 Thanks for the response, unfortunately Distort to Polar gets me close but not quite the results I'm looking for. I'm assuming Affinity doesn't have the capabilities. Quote
Fixx Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I don't get it how stereography is involved but there is a sw called Circular Studio which creates what you want. $30. Quote
Madame Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 What about this tutorial? I would try the inpainting brush instead of the feathering he's doing at the end. https://youtu.be/oQbC_Geuwao Quote - Affinity Photo 2.3.0 - Affinity Designer 2.3.0 -Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 MacBook Pro 16 GB MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2

Hope that helps! Hello, Resurrecting an old post, because I was about to ask the same question. Whilst trying to stitch together this sort of panorama yesterday it failed rather miserably. You say here "…doesn't do this type of stitching yet" James – is it something planned for 1.6 maybe? Basically I'd like to decide whether to shell out for Autopano or just exercise some patience. Affinity Photo is so fantastic in most ways I'm loathed to pay for another piece of software if Photo will handle the functionality very soon :) Many thanks! Liorla 1 Quote
