Exporting vector graphic in Affinity Photo

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

my apology if this is a silly question but:

does Affinity Photo export vector graphics?

I need to create some fancy text with some very simple graphic design and I am wondering if there is any option of exporting it as a vector.

And also, is there any option of making project (and export it) in CMYK?

THANK YOU SO MUCH for any tip or advice.

Paul

AP supports exporting to vector formats like SVG, but the .afphoto document must include only vector objects for everything to be a vector in the SVG file. In other words, there is no built in conversion or tracing of raster images to vectors, yet.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Yes, you can export in several vector formats (PDF, SVG, EPS) going to menu File ▸ Export. Just make sure you only use vector based tools/features as R C-R mentioned. Note that some features (Blend modes, Layer Effects etc may also force the rasterisation of vector objects).

Regarding CMYK, you can create a CMYK document from the New Document dialog - select Print from the Type dropdown or change the Colour Format in the Colour section right below (both on the top of the dialog).
