sachinaddy
Hi All, Is there anyway to disable Raster options all together in the Affinity Designer? I don't need Raster at all in AD. If not, anyway to identify which objects are Raster objects? This is very important for me because I only need "Pure" Vector. Alfred
Raster objects are shown as '(Pixel)' on the Layers panel. Staff MEB Posted August 6, 2016 Staff Share Posted August 6, 2016 Hello Sachin, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) There's no way to disable "raster options all together" in the program. Designer is a mixed raster/vector software and integrate both types seamlessly. There'a few objects that are raster based, or may lead to raster based output when you export document (depends on the export format): Pixel and Image layers types, raster based masks, Layer Effects, Adjustments, certain gradient/blend modes etc. When exporting in a vector format, click the More button in the Export dialog, go to the Rasterise dropdown and select Nothing. This will avoid rasterisation, but the output may be different from your original design and/or certain elements may be missing because they cannot be translated to vectors (Layer Effects for example). Dave Harris
A lot depends on what format you are exporting in. For example, PDF/X-1 does not support transparency, but PDF/X-4 does.
